A new and exciting trend in TV Furniture is the use and display of plasma TV frames to compliment your home decor. A TV Frame is typically used in conjunction with wall mounted televisions and varies in price from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.
When looking for a new TV frame there a few elements that may not be immediately evident in your shopping comparisons but are important none the less.
Symmetry - When choosing a TV Screen Frame you should think about how important it is that the TV frame encases your television in a symmetrical fashion. Many manufacturers simple take molding and wrap it around the outside of the TV bezel. This is a very simple application but it unless your television has equal bezel dimensions on all four sides your new frame will end up being a different dimension than your TV screen viewing area. If this is important to you than you should shop around and find a manufacturer that addresses this in the frame design.
Mounting - How does the frame attach to the television? pay special attention here because your satisfaction over time will be very dependent on this element. Some manufacturers mount directly to your wall and if this is the case you may have real issues if you plan to use an articulating wall mount. Other manufacturers use straps and Velcro to hold the TV frame to the TV, again if you are planing on tilting or pivoting your television make sure that the straps will not come loose over time. The best solution is usually a dedicated bracket solution that is made from steel or aluminum. a dedicated frame bracket provides the best of both worlds when it comes to mounting your frame.
Price - TV Frame prices vary wildly from one manufacturer to the next. There are some manufactures that are selling television frames fro as much as $10,000 per frame. The frames in this price range are typically very similar to fine art frames and feature intricate and extremely detailed wood carvings. If your budget allows then this may be just the ticket for you.
If you are like most, and $10,000 is not within your TV Furniture budget then there are still plenty of options available for you. Shop around and find a frame that will fit your decor and your budget and give them a call. TV Screen Frame solutions that range from a $300 to $900 dollars can be just as detailed as some of the more expensive frames.
If you do your homework and compare these elements of television frame solutions when you finally do make your decision to purchase your satisfaction and expectations will almost surely be met.
