Can I put put my a LCD TV Frame on my Television stand? We get this question a lot. The answer is yes, maybe. If you have decided not to wall mount your television and want to use your TV stand for displaying your TV then there are is some criteria that you must meet to be able to apply a frame to your TV.
First consider the weight. Unlike wall mounts, TV legs are specifically made to fit your television. there is no universal application here. Your TV Base typically is inserted somewhere into the bottom of your television. It is designed to hold the weight of your television and nothing more. adding additional weight to the television can increase the risk of tipping so care must be taken to avoid this.
Most televisions have a place to attach a wall anchor to your television. If you are going to be using a TV Frame this is required. DO NOT PUT A FRAME ON YOUR TV WITHOUT SECURELY ATTACHING IT TO THE WALL. If you don't get anything out of this article this is the most important. A TV frame on a TV Base will tip over unless it is attached to the wall.
Design. Most manufacturers don't offer this solution. If there is a custom option from the manufacturer try giving them a call and asking them. If the manufacturer offers this it will almost certainly be a custom option.
Remember that because the TV base which sits on the furniture is very close to the TV stand the design of the frame will need to incorporate this opening at the bottom. You will not be able to encase the TV within the TV frame completely. This is not really a detractor since it will not be visible on the TV stand.
